Event Overview:

Within the past year, organized medicine has begun to undergo a transformation. The American Medical Association’s Center for Health Equity has developed a strategic plan for health equity and voted to recognize racism as a public health threat in 2020. Likewise, the Massachusetts Medical Society has taken strides to become an anti-racist organization and work this mission into its operation. As the District society for some of the most diverse zip codes in MA, it is time to consider how we might implement these lessons and mission on a local level. In this 90 minute event, we will hear from local and regional physicians and use the AMA strategic plan to develop ways to strive for Health Equity in the Worcester area.
